Print head prices
Posted by Dan Osterbery on 26 May 2010 at 14:34Hi All,
anyone had print heads replaced on a versacamm before? Roughly how much were you charged? I have been quoted 800 euros each and think that might be a bit steep? I could be wrong? Any experience appreciated!cheers

hi soyeb,
500 each or 500 for the 2? 500 pounds not too far away from 800 euros, so perhaps price not too bad!cheers

Hi Dan Ive asked around in the past and they were approximately £500.00 which I have been quoted. Now correct me if i’m wrong but I think you get 2 heads in the SP Versacamms so unsure if they come as a pair or each. 😀 😀 😀

Genuine Epson / Roland print heads. Don’t forget to add 22% VAT if you’re not VAT registered in the UK. Still works out cheap though and my print head arrived next day!

Digi Print definetly do genuine parts, had a new main board for my CJ from them by return… and at a very good price.
If you cant see it on the site contact them as they have much more which is not listed
Roland had similar basic price but would have had to go to Japan and ship by boat 6-8 weeks or add additional costs for air express -
How hard are these to change?
Do you have to reset/recalibrate the head alignment?Steve

You will need access to the service menu and the service manual to DIY it! Or pay someone around £200 to do it

Installing them isn’t hard. The vertical and horizontal alignment is the tedious part of the whole process. The heads screw in with 3 screws and you have these other two screws which move the head around to make micro adjustments to the heads. You need to loosen the 3 screws first to make the micro adjustments. Then you print out the vertical and horizontal alignment patterns I think they are called Bias something from memory. You keep doing it until they are all aligned.
Robert over at http://www.signagespecialist.com can help you out with the heads and service manuals.
