    Morning all,
quick question? I am cutting after laminating on a sp-540 at 140gr downforce and I appear to be only cutting through laminate not vinyl. Is my blade blunt and needs replacing or do you increase pressure to cut through both layers. It cuts vinyl perfectly when not laminated??

I am using grafityp S022p and grafityp Lam170 gloss 70mc thick

    cheers

180 ish is not uncommon to cut both but 140 to cut normal vinyl is a little high. normally around 100

some times help to slow it down when cutting laminated jobs to around 30

hi dan you will have to increase the pressure

i normally do some test cuts as some laminates are thicker than others
remember to drop the pressure after your job
    😳
just put a new blade in my machine and cutting force down to 80 -90

All the above plus check with each laminate you use, I’ve found there can be quite a difference between them.

I’ve also forgot to change back for un-laminated, handy if the customer had wanted die cut stickers 😳
