Could somebody outline the process of cutting one of these? I haven’t tried yet, just anticipating the usual headaches of a computer-knownothing! 😀
    I have a Graphtec CE5000-60.
    Thanks in advance.

    i will struggle too!
My guess that machine works with Conditions 1-8… one of those conditions will be setup with a different tool setup? thats about all i can guess right now.

    Not sure on the CE.

The FC-8000 I have, I move the blade to the forward hole, so not to damage the cutting strip, and set the condition to that, otherwise the cut will be out.

I use CM, so set the path to the pounce, and away she goes.

I was told there was some sort of pounce attachment when I got my CE5000-60 but it wasn’t included.
I pen plot then do the old hand pounce wheel thingy, which I hate.
I still have my dodgy 4E which made perfect patterns, but it’s on the fritz at the moment.

Should be within your sign application

I’ve got Signlab 7:1 and you can

    Go to Cut
    then Plotting defaults
    then tick Pounce box

Just been looking for my pounce wheel
Can’t find it – not seen it for ages

If your looking for a pounce wheel you can still get a set of three and a pounce pad from a well known online auction site.

    Dave H,

this is the Graphtec attachment to be used in Pounce mode, as i understand it. i don’t think a knife will do the holes as required for the chalking.

Just wondered if you knew what the brush artists were on about, apologies if you do, i will now add the link

Thanks folks for the suggestions. Haven’t had a minute to sit down and go through the manual yet. Trying to get finished early today for the rugby. As the song says ‘maybe tomorrow’. 😀

    Hi folks,
The other day, I was using the plotter to pounce a pattern for a dimensional lettering install job. I thought while I was doing it, “I wonder if everyone knows you can do this?” Wouldn’t you know the next day I saw this post, and said to myself, “Why don’t I make a quick video showing how easy it is?

This is a one-take video, so look for content, not for style. LOL
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

    Hey Duncan
    Cool video
    Thanks for the demo
those holes cut by the special attachment are massive
should make chalk pouncing a whole lot easier
