    Hi all,

Ive been asked to do a load of posters but I’m not sure which to get. I use Grafityp for all my media needs but they dont sell paper without adhesive backing!

Can anyone recommend some poster paper please?

Im using the Versacamm sp-300v (30")

    Cheers all
    Dave.

Hi David, I use the same machine and use the metamark paper. They only do one quality and have to say it is good.

Posters are one thing we get asked for but stay away from as I thought it would not be profitable with a solvent machine, so how do you charge for posters ?

I was asked to do 60 A2 size full colour, done a search and found companies doing them for just over a pound each!!! For solvent print I would have to charge at least 6.00 each

I use Hexis. They do a yellow dayglo and white matt & gloss papers. Both print well but the yellow you have to be careful with, as the colours being affected by the strong yellow. ie blues come out green 😥
As for price I charge the same as I would for vinyl. Its all down to perceived value!

i just use the "heavy paper" setting via troop rip software. I dont tend to mess about with the standard profiles and the results have been great without any complaints.

I use the MDPP from Metamark and like Mike I price it exactly the same as vinyl. Have printed 7 x A2 posters this morning and will charge £13.50 each for them.

    Cheers
