Possibly dodgy scam…
Got an email in from ZETA TECHNOLOGIES with a UK mobile number.
Spoke to the lad – he’s fine. Great English – seems genuine enough.it looked a LITTLE dodgy – so I went digging.
Website (in the email) – exists but a dud.
WHOIS – revealed Liverpool address
Reason I’m wary is:2 signs for Port Harcourt and getting shipped to Africa. And if my memory serves…it’s Nigeria…and we all know about the Rev.
Want to pay me NOW with a transfer or cheque.
Looks like he’s grabbed two random images from the web and wants me to make a sign "with a bit of each".
Quoted £200 for a square foot square & a profiled 2 foot square.
Haggles like hell – stuck to my guns…take it or leave it.
HAS to be up in Aberdeen for 9th AM to get shipped.Still – something’s not quite right.
Anybody else get it today?
quote :Dear Sir / Madam,Could you please provide a quotation and completion date for two sign boards. I have attached a sample herewith. Pls find below the changes in order to make it look like what we want.
The boards shall be two pieces, the sizes are as given below;
12″ x 12″ and
24″ x 24″
The name “ZETA” (use nice fonts per your judgement) replaces “sign co”
The 3 words “Technology – Management – Training” replaces the 3 curvy words “signage – printing – awning”
The address “9 Valley View Estate, Port Harcourt” replaces “north highland”
The logo attached herewith (the triangular pix) replaces the picture and the wording “HUDSON” at the top.
Please call me on 077xxxxxxx for further clarifications.
Many thanks.
Kind regards,
