• pop up supplier

I have to quote to supply a pop up type sign , the type that forms a wall or backdrop for an exhibition stand, I have googled but most seem to be supplied with the print, from companies that also do the rest of the display related stuff, can anyone recommend a supplier, and also if the stand doesn’t come with the fascia material, what should I use to print on?

    Hello Peter,
I´ve been asked for these here and found them expensive in Spain until I went to an exhibition in Madrid yesterday and found a cheap supplier.
Before that I was going to import, (and still might because they have a huge range of related products) from Ultima Displays. They supply the basic product without the print. http://www.ultimadisplays.co.uk

Regarding substrates, you could use a thin banner material (as used for the rolling advertising around football grounds) or a very thin flexible plastic … or even paper. Depends whether you want to digitally print or use banner vinyl.

Hope you find what you´re looking for.

    hi peter
try easystands.com i use them now and again… have a good range from the budget to the expensive stuff.
graphityp now offer various stands also, i was toying with the idea of buying a few recently for a customer but it fell through…
also, i use the europoint roll-up stand material, gives me excellent results every time and price is lowest i have found.

in fact, you may have seen my 6 stands at signuk last year, those were easystands and the material europoint.

I’ve used easystands before now and been very happy with the range of products and the prices. As for printing it depends on what the customer wants, does he want something permanent where the display is printed or does he want something he will be able to change depending on the venue? Does it need to be internally illuminated or externally by spots?

    Peter,

For the print you will need something like "Opaljet 300" or similar. It is available in solvent for your Mimaki. You will also need a "deep matt crystal" laminate or similar. Both are available from Europoint.

We use mainly Ultima for pop-ups, and Easystands for our banner stands.

PM me your email address and I’ll forward you the Ultima February offers.

we distribute Duo Display in Basque Country

As says Chris, for a popup normally encapsulated paper.

    Always better matt.

Also some people use a special pvc directly.

lorraine, i am have never tried the company you have submitted but i have been buying roll-up banner stands in "little" bulks of 10 plus units, and the standard for them are only about £13-£14 each. they include shoulder bag etc… personally i think they "verge" only being a little lightweight but i have to say for the money, you cant ask for more. (old story, you pay for what you get)

in a long winded way Lorraine, i guess i am asking what is your opinion on their "budget stands"?

    Hi Rob

You can order as little as one stand for £14.50 each. I sold 2 a while back, one of the customers wants 2 more, so they can’t be too bad! I guess that the people who want this type of thing are using them indoors anyway, so no issue with wind etc.
To me they look exactly like any other economy pop-up banner stand.
Oh, and they come with the case too. Excellent value IMO.
