  • Pop up exhibitions / what material?

Posted by Graeme Speirs on 24 May 2007 at 19:54

    hi,

I have to quote for a pop up exhibition unit, I would be buying this in and then using my cadet I had planned to design and print the display area.

My question is what material would I print onto ? and also what do I laminate the material with? I have seen these before and the panels from memory were fairly sturdy and heavy?

    any ideas?

    cheers

    Hi,

Most Major suppliers such as Metamark, Europoint, Amari, supply pop up material for printing on. Contact who you buy your vinyl from I am sure they will help. If it is a Cadet you are using B&P will be able to point you in the right direction. We use a heavy duty sandtex laminate to protect them.

    Regards

when you say popup do you mean roll up banner stand? i call it popup too so thats why i ask… it is a roll up though, but not for smoking. :lol1:
i buy the stands/cassettes from easytsands.com but i see grafityp now offer a few variations on stands.
i buy my material from europoint to use with my grenadier. best i have found and i have tried a good few.. they do it in a gloss, grey backed material and prints brill!
i dont bother laminating, dont see the need, unless stipulated.

    Hi Rob

Do you remember the name of the material that you use from Europoint? Had a quick look at their list here on the boards, but can’t see the exact material described.

    Thanks for the help.

cheers guys, rob that sounds the best material as I use europoint anyway.

Its for one of those systems where the 3 or 4 panels are held up with magnetics, the system is a type of extending metal and plastic web which makes up the body of the unit then you fit the graphics onto it via magnets.

    hope that makes sense!

    cheers
