    Hi Guys

Got a quote for 2 sets of 18 letters all 8″ caps sans serif

came in around £35 per letter trade without my mark up, is this on the money or can somone reccomend a supplier. 😕

secondly fitting into a plinth above an office window height around 9′ from ground level, how much would you guys charge for fitting and how long would you allow for job?

Thanks in advance – John 🙂

You could try these. Bit expensive though.

Graphex VERY expensive!!! Try Lasercut Products Ltd in Harlow 01279 306 306. As for fitting, how many letters? Do you have to travel far? What’s the access like? Do you need diamond drill bits for stone? Then there’s the FA factor!

I can’t tell you a supplier , but we have a great solution for polished silver/gold lettering instead of using stainless.
We laser cut the letter in 3-5mm clear acrylic(perspex) and then clad it with a mirror finish anodised aluminium plate – easy to cnc cut , its about .7mm thick and has an amazing finish. Its called Anacoil and is available from most engraving houses in 2m x 600mm sheets and is real cheap. This will last as long as SS and requires NO finishing after cutting and one can put whatever spacer or bracket on the acrylic – looks absolutely $1million.
Stainless is a b—stard to cut , to polish and to put lugs on.
Best of all , is just about any small engraver with either a cnc router or a lser or both can make it for you.
5mm pex is about 25 quid per sq meter and anacoil is about the same , so an 8″ letter should be around 2 quid in material cost and even with cnc cutting etc , should be between 7-10 quid each with lugs.Even at a gouge type pricing , 15 quid is the worst (assuming 8″ letter is 8″ wide)

How many letters/words? Without knowing this makes it hard to guesstimate. Do you have to travel far? What’s the access like? Do you need any specialist drill bits/tools for stone?
