    Hi All,

I’m desperately trying to find a converter somewhere to convert plt. files to another format, ideally ai or eps.

Reason being I have stumbled across an old cd with some clip art images on, customer is set on the image they want after seeing the preview but the files are all plot files, and we do no use any signmaking software to read them.

I’m hoping someone is going to say "oh try website and download the free converter" 🙂

    Thanks in advance!

hm.. there is two types of PLT file..

The one that is HPGL or Hewlett Packard Graphics Language, most plotters use this to cut with

The other is a file format thats linked with Gerber software, like graphics Advantage or Omega. This format is their own and their is only one converter, the one that comes with the software.

try http://www.istockphotos.com and look under vector graphics for vector stuff

I’m not promising anything, but I run Gerber on my other computer and if you can email me the file thru my website, or even try to post it here for download, I can put it on a floppy and try to convert it to an .ai or an .eps.

Peter is right, SL can import both flavours of PLT and Corel can import and export HPGL. Generally HPGL/PLT import into Corel as lots of straight line rather than bezier curves.
