  • Plotter running on Artcut but not Signlab!

    Hi all
Our main Graphtec plotter is awaiting a part, and im having trouble running up our chinese cheapo reserve on Signlab. Ive gone into install cutters in Signlab, and the plotter isnt listed. Any ideas? Its a Joys (dont groan its only a back up!!)
This machine has worked with signlab in the past. I didnt install it then though.
Would keep us going for a few days if i can get this sorted.

    Thanks
    Stu

Goto the Signlab site, a driver maybe listed for download – failing that try a generic hpgl driver, you maybe lucky. You could always post a question on the Cadlink forum somebody is bound to know.

The Joys machines are made by Refine and a Roland pnc 1000 driver will run it.

Try John’s suggestion, Rolands run hpgl so it may well work – make sure you’re going out the right port though.

I cant get the flaming thing going!!!

Getting parity errors and I.D. errors depending on what i try. Im running vista and im aware running up printers can be a real pain on vista. wondering if plotters are the same. Should be running on com port 3 but half the time signlab doesnt give me com port 3 as an option to pick.

Getting desperate to get some vinyl cut!! 🙁
