Plotter blade question

Do I have to use a different plotter blade when cutting reflective vinyl (engineering grade) I up the force but blades dont last long any thoughts.

That’s the nature of the beast I’m afraid Jill. That reflective does that to blades 😕
Get in touch with Edward Mathias for your blades. Theirs will last longer.

machine working as good as new .he knows his plottersTerry

i’ll second that, I cut a lot of reflective, though blades seem to last ok for me,
Harry is a top bloke, just be sure to have your phone battery topped up and a good supply of tea to wet the whistle!!

Thanks for your replies,I get my Blades from Edward mathias as it is,however I have found out today that the blade has lifted out of its holder so it was not having full contact with the vinyl,How thick do I feel 😳

oops! did similar myself once, hadn’t tightened the blade holder in place and didn’t realise until i went to remove the holder and check the blade, was up to about 200g of force by that point!
