With the price of Aluminium composite going up and our current suppler no longer sending it out due to damage from couriers what is everyone else paying for it now and where from?

Hope you don’t mind but i’d rather not say as i may be paying less or more than someone else. What i will say is i am very happy with the price i pay and they offer a free cutting. Give Sheena a call 01413323035

I get mine from Amari in the North East. I haven’t really noticed the price go up much and they deliver to my area twice a week on their own lorry with their own driver used to the materials and very keen to avoid any damage.
A great service in this area

We usually order ours from Pyramid display, they’ve a few branches mainly around northwest and Midlands I think. Again they deliver on their own trucks so no issues at all.

They’re local to us too so can collect the smaller bits we need.

Another vote for Amari. We can buy cheaper but like the .3mm skin rather than the lighter weight .21mm. Also, there is variation on how easy it is to cut with a stanley knife. We once had some from I think Blackburns which was nowhere near as easy to cut down and left a ragged edge

We use both Stockline and Righton.

Stockline is handy as it’s 5mins from our office.

Downside is they only really offer lower grades (c-bond for example). Absolutely ideal for panels but not any use for trays as skin is under 0.2mm…practically tinfoil. Even their good stuff is "it’ll do".

Righton do a better range of colours and with thicker skins and a better core material (alucobest)- comparable to the quality versions of di-bond & sky-bond. (not the hoarding grades).

Amari – mixed results. Never sure what they’ll send…

Like others I’m not saying what I pay as I know it’ll ruffle a few feathers, but we’re happy with the product & service for the money.

Righton delivery their own material so damage is rare but limited delivery days.

Another vote to Pyramid Displays. We find them far more competitive, they stock everything you need, have a free cutting service (for square cutting) so you can order everything pre-cut to size (they even supply the off cuts) meaning one less thing to do in the workshop. Free delivery (within reason… i.e. they won’t deliver a single sheet of Correx!) and they also supply all the print media and finishing stuff so it’s nice and easy to order everything under one roof.

Must admit, we’ve had a couple of incidents with regards to things getting damaged during transit to us (even though they use their own trucks) with dinks to the corners of panels and marks on things like foamex sheets, but when this has happened they don’t even question it and replace it the next day for you.
