please take a moment to welcome newcomers to the UKSignBoards…I was flickin’ through the various sections earlier and couldn’t help but notice, in this particular one, how few replies each post gets!…

Remember what it was like when you first dared to show yur’ face πŸ˜•

Those who are newcomers, improvers or ‘jolly-rotten foreigners’ – can find it particularly daunting to type something in not knowing who, if anyone, will reply…

Anyone who’s here under false pretences or has an attitude will be banned either at the point of registration or soon after – so please make everyone posting here very welcome.

I, for one, am proud to be part of the UKSignBoards and, most important of all, the unique environment we have here. It’s professional, creative, informative and very friendly. So, whether you’re new and unsure or a regular who’s just got out of the habit…please welcome people…

Well said Mike, I always seem to have little time to post replies but then if that was the attitude when I first started posting I’d still be at the bottom of the learning ladder.

    Hi Mikey…
Just wanted to say that this is a great forum….everyone is friendly & pleasant. I have told many fellow Yank Letterheads about it, and even a few down under.
    Love- JILL

Your right mike.. It does take allot to post. Especially if you’re new to the trade.. πŸ™„

Please if you see someone making the effort to say hello.. Just click reply and type “welcome”.. Not hard is it?

Infact… between now and the 10th of January.. The person I see posting the most welcomes gets a free uksignboards.com t-shirt.. πŸ˜›
Can’t be fairer than that can I?

Very nice t-shirts they are too. This post is a good idea to get peoples juices going and we all need a bit of a push sometimes.

Good post Mike and very true, at one point I use to welcome everyone to the boards, as soon as I saw a new member had joined I would post a welcome or add a welcome to an existing thread. Just lately I have been really bad for posting and have hardly been on the site at all so I am now making more of an effort to check on a regular basis again and post replies where I can.

😳 That’s a very good point Mike. I guess I have been guilty of not welcoming people to the boards. I think this is mainly because I feel such a newcomer to boards myself and feel as though I don’t have much to offer in the way of advice regarding the sign business. However, I take your point and promise to make the effort.
    Regards

    Guilty as charged m’lud 😳

I must admit I don’t welcome peeps on board, not because I am a miserable git, but if you check the times of most of my posts, you will see I only log on here late in the evenings and only skim through the last 24 hours of posts. So time is precious to me and my cut off point is 12 midnight so I can get my beauty sleep, and if you can see my picture on the left you can see that I need quite a lot πŸ˜‰

So to make up for lost time & posts……………WELCOME TO ALL THE NEWBIES THAT I HAVE NOT PERSONALLY WELCOMED!

Hangs head in shame and exits stage left! πŸ™„
