    Hi all

Can any one help. I seem to be having trouble cutting this eps in signlab. I seem to keep having the same problem with same customer when they supply artwork. All other customers I seem to be ok not sure what they are doing or what I need to sort it out.

    Thanks

Colin, what software are they using to produce the artwork, Signlab will import quite a lot of different formats so maybe you could get them to supply it as something other than an EPS.

By the way, don’t know if you forgot to upload the image but I can’t see what you are trying to cut, there doesn’t seem to be an image on your post.

Try ticking the pdf box when you import it.

Sometimes have the same problem with eps and ai files in signlab, particularly when originated from Mac. Contour cut refuses to cut anywhere but exactly around object and bleed doesn’t work.

Only cure I have found is to break apart the compound (Ctl J) and then re-compound (ctl H) – obviously you have to take care when compounding that you haven’t changed the layout.

    Thanks guys

I will try some of your suggestions and see if I have any better luck. I am not sure why I can’t upload image properly. I am using signlab 7.

    Thanks

Colin the easiest way to ensure it goes into Signlab easily I’ve found is to import it into Corel, export as an ai file, then it imports right into signlab perfect 😀
I’ve done this loads of times because I too find eps files problematic.
