Okay I have now received a replacement Ricoh 7000 for my 5050 so I am back on the production of mugs for my clients (freebies). Some of the documentation that came through with the printer suggested a mug press time of 4 minutes at 210 using the Richoh paper.

Prior to this info I was pressing for 3 minutes. To save me wasting mugs could someone advise on their pressing time for this printer?

    Thanks

    Jason

I do mine at 2 mins 30 secs at 180 c using true pix paper if that’s any help.
will be interested to hear what settings suit you and what mug press you have?

    cheers

    Hi Jason,
Seems like a long time to cook them – i’ve been using 160 secs at 180 degrees and the blacks have been coming out fine. Thats on a Ricoh 5050n printer, chinese press and xpres paper.

Thanks John, I’ll have a look at both times, originally took the times and temp from John Gregson with an Epson setup and a chinese press as a few of us imported these to try out.

John, do you use the ICC profile from sawgrass when you print?

Yes, sawgrass icc downloaded off their site – not powerdriver.
