  • photoluminescent exit signs – should i produce inhouse

    Hi all, im quoting a large job atm and within it is 30 off photoluminescent exit signs.

    I was going to buy these in but prices seem pretty high, then thought can i produce them. Not something i have done before, having read through old posts seems its more than possible but i have a few questions –

    Is there an eco solvent printable vinyl that would give good results?

    Is flooding the sign in photoluminescent vinyl then overlaying normal green cut vinyl a better option?

    Do either of these options work that well?

    Is it a waste of time and just buy them in :smiles:, just thought if i look into it could be some production money to be made out of it.

    Thanks in advance, hopefully someone has tackled this before

    I did this using some 1.5mm (?) phosoluminescent solid pvc sheet. printed onto clear and just laminated it on! I’m certain I bought the panels through a former incarnation of europoint but when I last tried to get some they didn’t have a clue what I was talking about. I’m fairly certain it was an oracal / orafol product,

    Oracal does a great photoluminescent that you can digitally print. its the closest to white I have seen, yet photoluminescent.

    CLICK HERE

    $this->BBvideo_pass(‘$8’, ‘$4’, ‘$7’)

    cant see it mate, we have done a pile of safety signs using it just recently and god knows many over the years.
