    hi all,

just about to do a van for a customer and he thought it would be good to add perspective to the 3 colour (layered) logo on the bonnet, basically so it still looks right from the rear view of a car in front (i know, it’ll still be backwards!).

now we’ve all seen the pavement artist who’s drawings look 3d so i thought it’d be simple… just add perspective and away we go, nope!

firstly the objects are grouped but when i add perspective they tilt at different angles, almost like each layer is several inches apart,

secondly, even when i redrew it to incorporate an already ‘perspectivised’ (new word!) logo it just doesn’t look right,

i’m guessing there’s a science behind this rather than just a simple solution, any ideas?

    thanks,
    Hugh

Hugh…..I’m not sure if there’s much difference or not but have you tried the envelope tool as appose to the perspective one?

    HI Glenn,

yes, tried that first for some reason, it still doesn’t let me do what i want to do, normally with the envelope tool i delete the middle edit nodes and convert to lines, but just doing this makes the logo do funny things!
