Hello to anyone out there with PCut knowledge!

I purchased a PCut cutter 3 years ago and have quite happily been using it, it cuts the vinyl I need so no complaints there if i’m honest. But i’ve been looking into printed vinyl more recently and found out I can’t get the optical eye/laser eye to run in connection with my computer (I want to buy a Roland print & cut when I have the budget, but i’m seeing if there’s anything I can do with what I have for the time being).

The cutter is a CT630-H, and came with Flexi 10. I use Corel draw with a plugin for my vinyl work at the moment. The laser eye lights up and activates on the cutter. I can put a file into flexi 10 and add the registration marks for printing….all good.

BUT I can’t get flexi 10 to recognise the cutter laser. Does anyone know if theres a patch/update/plugin that I need to connect the software with the cutter, or am I just being useless and doing something wrong?

    Thanks for any help!

    HI

I think you will find the laser on this cutter is completely passive. i.e its just a dumb pointer and not linked or connected to the software in any automated way. You manually jog the laser pointer to the correct registration mark position (by eye) via the software, sequentially through each of the registration points so the software will take account of skew.

There re a few videos on YouTube showing this.

    Cheers
