    Hi
Thanks for your reply. It was brand new bought, we bought it off an e-bay shopping thinking we MAY get some support – how wrong were we!! He’s just not responding now to my e-mails at all.
Thanks for trying to help though.

Can only suggest using the search facility and looks at the posts about PCUT machines. Will certainly be some pointers in there.

I’ve sent him yet another message today telling him that I trust I won’t have to report him to e-bay, this may provoke a response. I’m not asking for something super duper for the price I paid for it but I do expect it to work. It was cheap but not hat cheap!!

    Thanks for link.

    Hi David

I’ve done all that and I’ve put my settings the same as everyone else. I’ve turned the machine on now and it won’t even display anything. Think the thing is nackered!! There’s supposed to be a 12 month warranty with it. Got a good mind to send it back and just splash out and buy a Roland etc. Really fed up now and it’s taking up quite a lot of room in my dining room too! Bloody cheap piece of rubbish – I’m really fed up now.

Make sure the blade is not touching any of the re-set buttons (the red buttons at the ends).
If it is this causes it to stop, only a thought.

Thanks for that. It’s got my screen working again and it says it’s online but when I press cut it won’t do anything. If I press cancel though it says if I press this my cutter will not cut. Surely that means it’s getting through?

Try flicking through your "mode" button on the machine itself. When you get to "Baud" it should read: 09600. if it doesn’t; you can adjust it until it does – this happened to me once and off it went .
If it’s a similar machine to mine – which it sound like it is – they aren’t as bad as people make out. Mines been banging away for three years now and has paid for itself dozens of times….good luck

I did that after reading the other posts on here thinking that was probably my problem but low and behold nothing. Do you know the guy’s had the cheek to just reply to me saying he never got my previous messages, after threatening to report him to e-bay and yet now I’ve responded again and nothing – I’m really gutted. Been promised the contract for a local college which has now become a university to do the writing on their hoodies and t-shirts but can’t do it and dare not commit myself until I get the thing working.

A bit of a stab in the dark but have you tried re installing the driver? I have had many driver problems especially with Vista, hence now im back with XP again!

Dont just write work off on the basis you cant do it all yourself. There are plenty of places you can get what you need prepared. I never turn a job down, just panic once I accept then work how or who can do it……

Yeah I guess. Just a bit fed up today. Usually do sublimation and I did a bag for someone today and they weren’t happy with it. It was £2.00!! What do people expect? They of course wanted to go for the cheaper solution and I think I made about 20p on it and that doesn’t even take into account my time for doing it!! Sometimes you just can’t please people what with that and not being able to get this thing working despite sending loads of time on it I’m just a bit tired I guess. Anyway I’m sacking it for tonight. Will try again tomorrow!!

That was a really long message – sorry!! It must be a Welsh thing!!

Yeah, I’ve tried doing it about 6 or 7 times now thinking that was the problem but no joy. Now I’m not sure if I haven’t uninstalled everything – do you know if that makes any difference? I’m using XP at the mo.

It shouldn’t make any difference, Have you looked in System Properties and checked in the Device Manager? This will normally flag up if there is a driver problem with a yellow exclamation mark. I think its comes under ports com & lpt

Unfortunately it looks like a case of something bought cheap not being that cheap in the end !

If I have a problem with one of my Roland machines, I phone Roland technical and they normally know exactly how to fix it, or if not I get an engineer sent out as part of the warranty cover I pay for.

OK, this all costs money, but the point is that I don’t lose paying work because the machinery isn’t doing what I need it to.

If you work out how much you will lose if the Uni go to someone else because you cant deliver ( and wont bother coming back to you in the future for more work if you have let them down once ), it may have worked out cheaper to spend the extra buying a Roland in the first place ( plus from the experience I have had with these chinese cutters, they aren’t very good, and I wouldn’t bet on them lasting very long if used a lot ).

If it was me I would be contacting the seller and asking to return the machine, then go and buy some proper gear, do the Uni job and pocket the money ( of course you can also put the machine through your books, so in reality it doesn’t actually cost you any more ).
