I have just tried printing on to self-cling for the 1st time, and the print is really badly smudged, but only with the magenta. (black & red on white cling).
The black isn’t smudged at all, and the final red is fine, the smudging is pink, and has caused a real mess.
Has anyone had this happen before, or have advice on what I’m doing wrong?

Any help would be really appreciated.

Print on clear and stick it to the cling 🙂

    Hi Dave
Think that might be the answer this time, but I would like to understand why it happened, and if it is usual for this to happen on cling?

i think you are discribing the result of static more likely to happen on cling film. or the mag ribbon is binding a bit leaving a skid type marking .

Hi Chris, sounds like ‘binding’ could be the problem, I’ll try a new ribbon, thanks.

I don’t ever recall printing static cling succesfully when I had a PC60. I think the ribbons grab the static cling, sometimes pulling out of the cartridge.
