Help! Mid print and the cartridge runs out! Change the cartridge, close the cover, carriage picks up the cartridge but nothing else happens. Busy light is flashing, but no printing!
    Any ideas??

Switch it off and start again 😕

Just done that, but there must be a way to continue a print from replacing the cartridge.
Could it be that I didn’t have a second cartridge ready and had to put a new ribbon in the empty cartridge and the unit timed out?

it continues once new one is loaded. as phill says, restart might be needed but if you have done this and it persists. theres a problem somewhere!
if you have say 4 black carts and one runs out, it just picks the next available and continues… if you have one black and it runs out, you replace it close the door and it continues,,,

The printing should have continued on once the cartridge was replaced. However, occasionaly these machines get their knickers in a twist and the only fix is to switch off and start again. Chances are it’ll be fine afterwards.
