  • PC-50 cuts 90 degrees to print axis

Posted by Artsigns on 19 October 2003 at 20:32

    Hi,

We have a Roland PC-50 which cuts vinyl fine, prints fine but when we try to combine the two, i.e. set the machine to print an image and then cut around it, the machine rotates the cut line axis 90 degrees to how it appears on screen so the cut is made at right angles to how it should be.
I’ve been in touch with Roland who say it’s a driver problem but I’ve reinstalled the driver and the problem remains. Anyone have any ideas?

Sorry Geoff can’t help as I only use corel draw 😥 😥
However my windows driver was version 1.8 downloaded some years ago so yours may need updating.
    Best of luck
    Dave

I’ve solved the problem now, it turned out to be a problem with early versions of Signlab 5. Cadlink have sent me an update and now everything works fine.

    Geoff.
