I will be leaving shortly to participate in the charity panel jam.
Sounds like it will be a fun weekend!
Maybe I should have posted this in the "What are you doing on Friday Night" area but since it concerns painting I will put it here.
I will be doing a few narrowboat roses on panels just to be different.
    🙂

It’s a car show, like the boat shows or RV shows.
There will be some famous cars and a few celebrities.
But in this one, they have a panel jam with pinstripers painting panels that will be auctioned to benefit the Pittsburgh Autism Society.
I think I will be the only signwriter there.
We have 4" of new snow so the trek to Pittsburgh (or Pittsburra for you Scots) might be tricky.
I am going with a local friend who is a custom painter.
Just glad I don’t have to drive!

    OK, I am back.
I’m not able to snag a ride today and too beat anyway.
I painted 14 panels, one car tag, three bowling pins, and two toilet seats (new)
As of yesterday we raised about $4800 in the auction to benefit the Pittsburgh Autism Institute.
It was a blast! But beer was $5.50 a can!
    Here are a few pix.

    Thanks Lynn!
    That’s variegated leaf.
    I am a terrible gilder!
I forgot to mention the roads.
Friday we had a lot of snow, then sleet and freezing rain.
I think that kept people away.
The way in was a mess.
The roads were indeed horrendous on the way home.
There was frozen slush and ice.
Saturday morning they weren’t much better, but by the time we left they were just wet.

Looks like a great weekend Jill,. Wish my dad was still around……….as the idea of a weekend having fun signwriting would have amazed and thrilled him. Now one of my ambitions too! 😀

    Great job Jill!!

I noticed the gilding right away……looks just fine from here. 😀

I’ve done a couple of these events and all I can say is that they are like a regular meet on steroids!!!

    Thanks for the update.

Excellent art Jill. Sounds like you really enjoyed it apart from the expensive beer. 😕
