    Hi,

I just got a frame made up at my suppliers, just wondered if there are tips
in fixing these together, the barbs on the metal corner tabs look over the
top in holding the thing together, I put one in and gave it a few taps, but me
thinks it needs the barbs tapping down a bit.

    any advice?.

    cheers

Make sure the other end of the frame is solid against a wall or floor. with a piece of wood between to protect the edge. The corner does need a fair biff to make it go in and I use a normal hammer directly onto the metal corner. no need to flatten the barbs though. use a piece of wood to protect the frame when connecting the 2 pieces.
Try not to knock it in too far though! as you probably realise the are not made to be removed. A little tip here, if you do make a mistake, bend the angle till it breaks, and knock it into the frame, so you can try again
