Outlook: Email attachment problem
Posted by Marcella Ross on 20 August 2009 at 14:32Can anyone tell me how to tell Outlook to allow me to open attachments?
I have had 2 .exe files sent to me – Outlook see it as a threat and has blocked access to them. I KNOW they are safe they’re from my tech guy and I need them.
I went into the Trust Centre but I can’t see any optins there that would allow me to disable this for the time being to allow me to get to these files.Any help appreciated. 🙂

Marcie ask him to zip it and send it again then you can access them
the only other way is to piss about in the registry 😮

You can’t save or forward exe files since sp 3 I believe.

Marcie, if you Tech guy is sending u .exe then he needs telling off!!!!!
he should know better!! -
yeah ………… he realised what he’d done and zipped them! 🙂

How about self extracting ZIP – arn’t they exe files so does that mean you can’t send them.
