I have an order looming for 50 various signs on a quad bike course, my client wants warning signs erecting around his course such as slow down, caution, etc. I was thinking of using white foamex, would this be the best material to use?

    he wants long lasting signs.

If foamex is ok then who can you recommend as a reasonable supplier and what sort of prices should I expect for 8′ x 4′ sheets.

    Regards

    Paddy

    Hi Paddy,
    Foamex or even Correx
If using white substrate, I’d cut the letters within a rectangle and weed border then weed the letters out, not the background.
Leaving a coloured background and white letters.
    (quick and easy)

    Cheers

You could try using Dibond or it’s equivalent – a sandwich construction of aluminium with a rubber core. It’s just like using an aluminium plate but is cheaper , lighter, and much easier to cut. Try asking Europoint – or Amari plastics who do something similar.

Forrex would be ok but better to use a 10mm board for durabiltiy – it all depend on the maount of wear and tear it’s expected to get.
