I have a dozen or so Of the above in various colours that have gone over the use by date.
Can these be re-chipped or are they useless now ?

It depends on how out of date they are. I think you can use them up to 3 months after the expiry date from memory.

    Hi Stafford
Unfortunately they are more than that, perfectly good and sealed though which is the annoying part.
Can the carts be re-chipped ?
Ive seen somewhere (not on these forums) that you can obtain replacement chips – are you aware of that ?

Yes, you most definitely can, but just bare in mind that they are dated for good reason. I’d imagine Mimaki are a little over cautious with their dates but if you’re talking years out of date I’d be very wary. Particularly if you have a contract on the machine, it will likely invalidate the printhead.

No not years out of date, just a few months. It’s only used for printing short term banners these days as we have a couple of latex too.
Do you know where I can purchase the chips Stafford ?

You should be able to pick them up from anyone who sells their own alternative inks to SS21.
