Oracal 352 Mirror Silver lifespan alternatives please?
Posted by Warren Beard on 17 May 2007 at 15:50Hi All
I was wanting to use this mirror film for an outdoor fascia but have just realised it is only a 2 year lifespan.
Are there any alternatives I could use with similar effect but longer life span? Don’t want a call in 2 years telling me the vinyl is peeling off 😕
Thanks
Warren

Hi Warren there are alternatives we used one that was 5-7 years, but it was expensive, and I can’t remember where we got it 😳
if you don’t mind going dearer I will have a look for you.Lynn

Hi Lynn
That will be great thanks, at the end of the day I will quote accordingly and hope the client goes for it, he has said he wants it though.
There is Oracal Silver Leaf for about £14 a meter 😮
I only need about 5 meters max though so no huge dent :lol1:
Thanks

Anybody else used it yet, I have a possible job to do with it, and would appreciate any comments
PeterWarren Peter posted this ages ago, there was quite a big discussion on this.

Hi Lynn
I will try search for the old post. 😳
The Silver Leaf Oracal Series 382 vinyl is a 5 year outdoor and is about £14/meter for 610 wide.
I think I might have to use this if it is similar to mirror, anybody know if it is similar to mirror.
cheers

i use the coburn chrome, it’s a 5yr outdoor film,
i buy it from sign trade supplies, maidstone,
610 wide…
1-9m £8.20
10-24m £7.80
25m+ 7.57prices per metre and + vat, it’s called polished silver, but is chrome ! the rainbow chrome is pretty cool too, holographic looking.
