    Hi Guy’s,

    Following on from Daniels post about Oracal 751.

    I’ve booked myself in for a wrap course beginning of May for 1 on 1 tuition to wrap my van (Mercedes Vito).

    The plan was to go with Oracal 970RA as Spandex have an offer on. Speaking to my contact at Spandex he was pushing the 3M and Avery (which also are on offer) as they are easier to use and after seeing Daniels post it looks like this may be true.

    I’m not going with Avery as it’s to expensive but is it worth spending a little more on the 3M to make life easier? I think the price difference is about £5-6 p/m.

    James

    I personally think the 970 is a lovely film to use, I’ve also used the 1080 and supreme which are also very nice, I’m not experienced to be able to tell the difference between the films as I don’t use them all the time but i’d be happy with either one.

    Personally I tend to go more with the 970 as I get a better rate but 3m are a brand that everyone knows.

    We did a fleet of vans using 970.

    Whilst it doesn’t have the controltac, or prepositional adhesive like Avery or 3m, I was impressed with it, and it worked well.

    That said, I do believe the 970 is now available with a slideable adhesive, similar to the SLX.

    We use loads of 970 mainly because SD keep a good stock & range of it for next day delivery. Nothing more annoying than hearing it’s on order & be here in 2 weeks like my Avery & 3m suppliers [emoji85][emoji85][emoji849] I do think some places must stick it on the moon!!

    Oracal 970RA is the air release version you would want David.

    $this->BBvideo_pass(‘$8’, ‘$4’, ‘$7’)

    Most places don’t even stock the non air release version anyway..

    Yes we’ve used the RA, which has the air channels, but the adhesive isn’t prepositional like the 1080 & Supreme, although I’ve heard that is changing.

    Spandex seem to have plenty in Jon.

    Looked into it a bit more and it seems good stuff. Wasn’t keen on having to pay for a 3M swatch book, although I hear they have a great range of colours.
