• Onyx help needed!

Posted by Craig Darlington on March 24, 2012 at 1:05 pm

We have just taken delivery of a HPL26500 with Oynx – great printer but the rip software is a whole new ball game after using VersaWorks for 6 years!

I cant seem to figure out how to centre the image on the media or even move it up by a small amount. We have a job on at the moment with lots of print and cuts – problem is the HP prints so close to the bottom edge when I put the print on the Graphtec plotter the pinch rollers are over the registration marks and therefore cant be read by Cutting Master.

Hope someone can help me with this.

yes they are there…. im always changing the top margin or spacing between images. I allow 10cm at the top of the print, spacing about 3-4cm

Make sure you are on Conserve media or group object together options.

With cutting marks, I use both cutting master and the built in automatic marks.
The automatic ones do have their limits.

In Onyx, look to the left of where you select your placement (conserve media, group
jobs together etc), and you will see a Setup button. Click this, and you will be taken to
another screen where you can set your justification, offsets and space between copies.
This is also where you access Onyx Cut Server if you are using it.
