One for Brian Hays
Posted by magpie on 26 November 2004 at 08:48Hi Brian,
I know this is too cheeky, even by my standards but I’m quoting for my first van this weekend – a Renault Kangoo – is there any chance you’d be willing to supply the outlines for it?
In return I promise to buy the full cd out of my earnings from that job.
I hope that sounds more like fair play for your generosity than a bribe, because thats the way its intended.
Thanks in advance, Peter.
PS No I haven’t done my cousins scooby yet 😳

I have style?? How did that happen and why didn’t I notice such a monumental change 😎
However, I’m now ready to order as promised so I’ve asked Rob to contact you Brian
(or one of your willing workers), so I can also get the UKSB discount :D.So thanks again for your help.
Oh yeah is there any chance of having the outline for a Vauxhall Combo Van (V Reg), in advance? 😀

Style and just a teeny little but of cheek Magpie
Brian is still in OZ on holidays I think, although he is probably heading back home by now.
He was going to try and look me up if he got this far north, but I have not heard from him. Probably enjoying the Victoria Bitter in melbourne, or the Tooheys in Sydney and not got to our xxxx beer yet here in paradise :lol1: .
Cheers

Ahhhhhhhhh VB.
I still remember being met off the plane at Tullamarine at midnight and having a bottle of VB stuck in my hand by my Oz based family.
Heaven 😀
Nope Marimbula was heaven the VB came a good second 😀 -
Mate, just finished a contract here for VB. Did 15 cars for them and all they gave me to drink was apple cider 😥
Carlton United Brewery has 1000 cars and reps, makes me think there is some money in grog! 😮
They have released a new beer here called cascade bitter. Gives VB a run for its money too.
One thing us aussie likes is a beer tho. As long as it is cold and alcholic, the average australian will drink it and discuss the taste later. :lol1:
cheers

I feel like a Tooheys
feel like a Tooheys
I feel like a Tooheys, or twoSorry for being out of key there, but singing was never a strong point.
Now that jingle must be at least 20 years old 😮
Makes me feel old, but brings back great memories of Sydney, backpacking and Airlie Beach hostel on Xmas day, never did make it to Cannes tho’. -
Crickey Mate, have not heard that jingle for years! 😮 Must be easily 20 years old I think.
Lived in Sydney untill ’88 when I moved up here to ‘paradise’ (slightly north from Surfers Paradise actually). Queenslanders are pretty loyal to the old XXXX so asking for a Tooheys at the pub pretty much singled you out as a ‘foreigner’ round these parts. 🙄
Airlie Beach has probably changed heaps since you were there. Had our honeymoon on Hayman Island back in ’83, now I couldn’t afford to eat there 😥 , let alone stay there. Airlie is still popular with the Backpackers but you need a bit more money in your pockets from the early days too.
Cairns is still a big country town. Parents just came back from a week last month. Had a ball, but no swimming cause of the box jelly fish and other unfriendlys in the sea this time of year.
When are you going to come back for another holiday. We need all the tourism dollars we can get!! 😕
Cheers

LOL just seen what I posted, no wonder the locals looked at me strange when I
asked about the film festival 😕 😉Sadly I don’t think Oz will be seeing anymore scheckles from me Shane, but at least
I have my memories to bore people with at get togethers, at least I think this expression
😮 means they’re bored.Cheers, Pete

Actually getting quite needy now with regard to the Vauxhall Combo Van outline,
if anyone could even let me have a tif version (for proofing to the client) of the sides
and back, until the CD arrives I’d be more than grateful. Thanks in advance, Pete
