Oh Dear… I might get wet :(
Hi friends,
Seems we are in the path of our 1st supercell for our storm season.
This one extends from Byron Bay in Northern NSW, to Crows Nest out in the Qld West, bush country.
The lightning display is awesome already, but they are having warnings on the TV about Damaging Winds, hail and flash flooding. 60mm Hail has been reported down south in its path already.
Its very hot and humid ahead of the storm, which is unfortunately a really bad sign. The higher the humidity, the worse the storm.
Getting out torches together ready for the inevitable blackout.
Normally this time of night we have the evening birds heading to their roosts, and the Bats are usually out looking for a feed. It is deathly quiet at the moment, which is another bad sign.
Just have to hope we don’t lose our roof I guess…. 😕
Yellow/orange is lightning, red/crimson is destructive hail etc.
I love a storm, but this one is a loo loo 😮 .
Can’t be scared for the kids though. I’ll put long pants on so they can’t see my knees shaking 😮
