    Hello all ๐Ÿ™‚
For anyone on NTL Broadband all speeds have been increased ie: 300k – 1mb. All upgrades are free so 300k – 1mb will be charged at the same price per month. Downside is a 3gb download limit a month, but ntl say they will not be enforcing the limit till later in the year.

Thought i should let people know as NTL seem to be keeping it to there selves for some reason, probably to keep old customers on the low speeds to save cash! Anyway go to “upgrade speed” on the ntl homepage and go from there.

    Have fun ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Heres the info http://www.home.ntl.com/page/broadbandexisting

Funny that as my BT line is to be upgraded from 512 to 2 Meg totally free,
but I did know this was happening because BT sent me a e-mither.

Thanks for putting up that link, been with NTL for years. Having seen various companies advertising 4mb broadband, I was wondering if NTL would be increasing there speeds, as they have always boasted having the fastest connections in the UK.

So now they state my 1.5mb will be upgraded :

    Existing 1.5Mb customers

Weยดre in the process of automatically upgrading your service to 3Mb. This upgrade is absolutely free and you donยดt have to do anything to receive it. Whatยดs more, the monthly price of this service remains the same. Check this page again for updates on when you will be upgraded

Great stuff, but I have noticed they cap the use to 1gb download per day, although they dont tell you this, or any notification of these changes, they just disconect you. Still got to be better than 3gb’s download per month, as sometimes i can download more than that in a day………….. well as of today, they have not done it yet as its @ 1.5mb and get 177.9 KB/sec transfer rate, looking forward to the 3mb.

Nice to have the free upgrades, but it would be nice if they let you know what your getting, as you could easily jump ship to another provider not knowing you have already been upgraded…………….. Bit like BT, who continously try to get us back having gone over to NTL cable.

BT are giving everything but the kitchen sink away at the moment, for the whole of this year I have got free phonecalls direct from PC to mobile or landline via their service “click 2 call “.

Even got the headset an mike for free along with the full kit to hook my PS2 to the web for online gaming.

About time these companies started to give rather than take and for BT to do it is even more amazing.

Yep one happy bunny so far. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Just goes to show how desperate they are getting, shame they did not think of trying to keep their customers happy a few years ago, instead of burying their head in the sand, and assuming they were the best and only communication provider worth having…………..must have come as a bit of a shock, how wrong they are !
