new to this and lost. driver for plotter?
Posted by shane rabbitt on 7 June 2010 at 19:09hi guys. i have a 48 inch redsail plotter( i know its a cheap one). i need to find a driver for it. can anyone suggest where to start looking? can you also suggest some good programes for starters?

just put into google: redsail plotter driver and alsorts of sites pop up.

think this should sort the driver bit.
As for the best software I only ever used flexi and signlab but I am not sure what more cost effective options there are out there. I am sure someone else might be more use with that!

i have corel draw. is this program any good? or is it a bit advanced for the beginner?

VMP-vinyl master pro is very good and for the price £250 and iv seen it advertised for as little as £150 ! much cheaper than sign lab/flexi, i think you can still go to there web site and order a fully working demo disc, dont think the demo allows you to cut or save tho, depends what you want from your software tho ! most of mine is vehicles so it does everything i want it to do. 😛

If you have corel I would get using it and you will soon learn! It is a good package for the job!
