    Hi all
Just joined up. I do sublimation printing but will soon be purchasing a 24in. cutter to cut polyester flock for printing.
    Cheers

Good grief 4 replies in as many minutes. I need advice on which 24in cutter to go for (Should this question be in another folder?) I hasten to add that I am 100 percent inexperienced in this field.
    Cheers

    Hi there Jim

    Welcome aboard.

No doubt one of the “old hands” will comment regarding plotter recommendations. I use Roland gear – it’s been good for me.

I started off less than 4 years ago, so I consider myself a novice too!

    Kind regards

    Alan

Jill’s been hearing voices again…I’m jealous. They said they only talk to me and me alone.

Welcome to the site Jim. Buy the best plotter you can afford but try to think of the future a bit…Will signage be part of your future? If so then 24″ might be a bit too small. just a thought.

    Hi Lee
I’ll not be doing signage as such, Too many around me doing it. More of an addition to sublimation. looking for more specialised market. 24in. would be adequate. The question is, which cutter?
    Cheers

having had literally 3 months experience, a reply from me is probably not worthy of much credit! However, I bought a roland 24inch cutter and i have been very pleased with both the cutter and the service i have received from roland. They even provided a fantastic days training for free when I made the purchase. Good luck. Nelijane

    Hi Jim and Welcome

A poll was done on the boards which show that good majority use 24″ plotters.

Handling 610mm rolls is a lot easier than 1220mm especially if youy have to do a Joseph’s coat of many colours job!! 😆

I’ve a Graphtec CE1000-60 which has done me well but of course there are others.

    John 😀
