Our old Seal laminator is giving up so we need a new 54" machine.
Seal told us they now only make 62" but this is to big and too expensive…Any ideas.
Just with a top heated roller for vinyl lamination.
We also have an Eazytaper but after almost a year of waiting for a replacement we,ve given up on them. this machine is Ok for mounting prints but as a laminator its the pants as the rollers are not smooth. Have contacted the main people in Australia but they say they have not dealt with the europe supplier since 2006. And he just says he’ll replace it but then don’t.

We had a look at a few at the sign show.

We had a small budget so only looked at the entry level ones.

    Easymount
    Leopold
    Drytac
    Ability – Europoint

We opted for the Ability laminator from Europoint, and have been impressed. It is extremely easy to use and has a take up roll as standard.
It is very basic but does the Job for around £3500.

I’m with Stephen on the Ability. I bought one around Feb of this year and it have been pretty impressed. A few slight technical issues with it but Europoint sorted them straight away.

    hi guys
is the "ability" a heated laminator?? We are also looking for something not too expensive that we can use for wrapping and standard lamination.

what sizes does it come in??

    regards

Yip, has a heated top roller. Great piece of kit for the money.

It is a 1600 laminator with a heated top roller only. It has two feed rollers and a take up.

I have laminated a 50 metre roll of vinyl in one go without having to reset the media.

I didn’t even watch it. I just set it up put it on a slow speed and kept checking it every minute or so.

It has made our other two more expensive but old laminators redundant.

As I have said it is very basic but is an excellent machine for the money.

    Cheers Stephen
