    Hi All,
our old cutter plotter has been with us for 15 years, and has developed a main board fatal error and we are being advised it would be better value to buy a new plotter. Our old one was a newstar and has been fantastic but i believe that brand no longer exists. So we are looking for a new 60cm/ 70cm cutter. what do you use and what would you recommend? We have a roland versacamm and would be happy with another roland, but i read alot of good things about graphtec’s. Any opinions appreciated.

    thanks

    Have you thought about Summa?
I have 2 machines both working 8 hours a day 7 days a week, not had any bother at all with them. Bought both as used machines (1st one 3 years ago, second 12 months ago), when they eventually pack in I wont hesitate to buy Summa cutters. I was looking at purchasing a 3rd machine but am going for a print and cut set up so put that idea on hold.

    Regards Steff

Got a graphtec FC8000 (newer model is the 8300?)

It’s a trusty machine, only issues we’ve had have been operator error.

It still surprises me after 5 years some of the really fine detail it can cut!

We also use it for print & cut from our Seiko, and have used the perf cut when producing labels.

Thanks guys. I am in Menorca, and my choice seems a bit limited, I can find a graphtec dealer and a roland dealer. Will try to find a summa dealer today. Perf cut on the graphtec looks interesting though as we do produce a lot of stickers / labels. Thanks for the info.

Yes I’ve ours 5 years and have only just started to really use the perf cut. Works well once it’s set up.
