I am going to presume that the router has better access to the outside world and materials from behind the camera man? That door looks a bit small for 8×4 sheets to go thru.

Looks good and nice and tidy

    hi phil
i think you will have a great looking place once your done mate, well done!
one thing though, are you keeping things like the printer etc situated were you have them now or you planning on shifting things about while you get organised? reason i say is you have bags of room and it seems a shame to cramp your working rooms to allow for large gallery areas?

    thanks all
rob we are trying to target big players here m8 cant be bothered with the local chippy men if you know what i mean no offense but i feel the new products mean more to us than work space the printer might need more space really but i don’t fancy shifting it upstairs to top office
Shane we r renovating a ind unit
    Marcella I’m on it 😛 😀

not sure what you mean by "new products" Phil?

Display areas are great to have but im not sure about them dominating the main floor space is all. we are a reatively small sign firm but we have some very big companes on our books. in all the years we have done work for them i have never once seen any of them in our work place. our reception display area is to target the guy walking in with the high street shop… he wants a simple fascas sign but when he sees LED’s in stainless built-ups hes willing to pay more… he then wants a digital printed banner to say hes now open, and he chucks in A-board while hes in the mood to spend on his new investent and so on… it works as it sells itself and pays the bills… as i said, i dont know what your new product is so i could be way off track mate… ignore me if i am :lol1:

the main reason i commented on working space was because at the time i read your post i was sat next to the same printer you have in your picture. next to it we have the vinyls on wall racks next to 10ft x 5 ft table sitting in about 400sq ft of floor space, next door we have about 600sq ft of floor space for laminating and vinyl cutting and prepping. still "we cant move at times" paper everywhere, prints drying over tables and more… staff claiming tables here and there for trimming and prepping. space vanishes quickly when busy. it may just be me mate, i guess i just see more value in the space as a work place as oppossed to gallery space.

    good luck Phil,

hope the big players appreciate your enthusiasm , you will need more than one small printer though!

never knock the small business, they quite often grow, ask Stelios, or Richard B 😉

    Wise words there Peter.

My smallest customer in ’96 was my biggest customer in 2001. They grew from a small family business to a huge corporation, and I was in at the ground floor all the way. We parted company when they sold out for millions to a multinational in 2003.

I find the little jobs keeps the cash coming in waiting for the big boys to pay though 😕
