Hi guys, trying to get a craft robo to work from either of 2 networked computers. not sure if it is possible, really a convenience thing but is cannot get the second computer to output to the cutter via the network?
    any ideas?

    many thanks

I am not familiar with how a craft robo is connected, but if it is recognised as a printer, then you should be able to share it, then connect from the other computer, after instaling the software on both machines.
Other wise there are programs around that let you access the ports on a network computer.
How does the robbo appear in the control panel/printers?
Like I said I have no robbo knowledge, so I could be barking up the wrong tree

you have to turn on printer sharing then the sec computer will see it. or add a port which will be the port on the computer that the plotter is connected to.
we drive two graphtecs from either of 2 computers. using standard windows network.
other stuff is on the network via ip addresses.

Thanks, chris what is CM2 and can you tell me how to configure graphtec window printers please, i am not sure what you mean there but hopefully it may be a solution.
Dave, I have two computors on peer to peer setup with printers plugged into USB port on one computer and the other sharing this across the network, you think a router will sort me?

    thanks

    version 2.4, Craft Robo Master?
Windows7 detects the robo on both machines but will not output from the second so bit of a puzzler

apart from a firewall block, bit lost now
you did add the printer as a network one and share is on.

I don’t think you are able to share a usb plotter connection from one computer. only an Ethernet through a router. Unless you can use the plotter driver through the other computers software. What program are you using ?.
Its not quite the same as printer sharing because its not a printer as such
It probably uses a driver within the cutting software.
