  • Needed: Head clean fluids for solvent printer

Posted by David Rowland on 10 December 2006 at 21:14

    hi
I am looking for a small amount of head cleaning fluid to be posted down to me, I don’t particurly want to buy a head cleaning cartridge from our supplier and rather get something that is used with a Cadet / Grenadier or alike as they all use the same heads. All I am after is say 50ml-200ml of fluid to squirt through a head, surly someone out there can help me.

Give us an indication of price via PM or email buttons etc., cheers
    Dave Rowland

    is this bottle in form?
i am on about a fluid that goes in the heads and not the clean the heads with a stick-wand dabber with fluid.

The JV3 has head cleaning solution (called RS) and a head cleaning cartridge but the RS should never be used inside the head.

well i have read some posts here in the past about shutdowns and other procedures, so i presume the fluid is going inside your heads, if that is the case then the fluid is safe to put through the heads but I wont put any old fluid through it.. all i want to do is clear old old ink/new ink etc before i put a new head in.

    Hi all
if you can remember the problems i had with my cadet with losing the ink at the heads. etc
after 4 sets of dampers and full flush with cartridges and new ink.
it was still a problem .
a new engineer came and flushed the cleaning solution (the bottle type for wiping the heads and flushing capping stations with) through a damper through the heads and this seemed to cure .
is this fluid more agressive than the cartridge flush are was it just a better job done. by the engineer.
by the way it works out at £30 with postage for a small bottle i think 220mm 😮
