Morning John
To start with you need to cut the image in reverse so it is a mirror image of what you want on the T-Shirt.
Then you weed as normal.
Turn the heatpress on and let it get upto temp (150-180 deg C aprox) consult your supplier.
Also find out from your supplier what pressure you need to apply (this is open to conjecture, They will say low pressure or medium, it’s up to you to decide what this means (do some testing)
Place the shirt in the press and smooth out any creases then give it a quick pre-press of a couple of seconds to warm the garment and flaten it.
Place the image face down on the garment cover with a silicon sheet (ASDA baking paper) and press for the prescribed amount of time.
Release the press and alow to cool (some garment films can be peeled of when still quite hot, some need to cool more, also you will find that some colours will need different cooling times)
Gently start peeling the backing of the print. This is where you find out if all of the above steps have gone to plan
If the film starts peeling up as well, press again and maybe let the print cool a little longer (experiment) I use an Aluminium ruler to take the heat out of my prints sooner.Once you have peeled the backing off, apply the next colour etc (for muti-coloured designs)
Once you are happy with the print place the silicon paper over the design and press it for a few seconds to seal down any edges that may have lifted slightly as the backing was being taken off.
Post your print on UKSB for all to marvel at
Wear T-Shirt (and smug grin) to the pub
