I know i know, it sounds easy, but i`ve been ar.sing about for an hour trying to find an option to creat a perfectly formed and spaced vector grid which i can then type text in and then alter the slightly if the text exceeds it`s boundaries.

I`ve tried to create an excell spreadsheet and import it etc but to no avial. 🙁

Any able to point me in the right direction?

    Cheers

Rod not quite sure what you mean? When using the text tool you can draw a rectangle to insert the text into.

    Heya Pete.

I think i might have figured it out using the "array" function.

Basically i need a large grid, like a wall planner on a dry-wipe board with rows and columns for information.

The mistake i think i was making was that i was welding the lines together before completing the information that was being entered into each cell leaving me stuck for space. Because i had welded the all the lines together to make them a vector for cutting and applying to the dry-wipe board

The next problem was getting all the text on the same alignment. In Excel you have the options to centre and middle justify, in a home made grid, you obviously can`t. Imagine a calender with loads of boxes but each day name and date number are all aligned in the top left of the box?. This is what i was hoping to achieve.

Can you think of any better method?

Rod I was thinking using the badge function, but not very up on this, It seems like it may work, but not sure if it would, anyone else have an idea?
