    Hi guys!
I need some info about a stainless steel letters.A few years ago, I visited one sign company which makes SS letters, and I saw them using cooper flame irons for soldering. So my question would be -what is the difference between flame iron and electrical one.And what type of solder I have to use?

Thanx in advance for any other info!

Pretty sure that it is proper silver solder( I think they start from 20% silver from memory) that they use which has a higher melting point, hence the requirement for a flame.

    Hope that this helps.

I used to be a sales rep (in a previous life) selling welding consumables and we sold it then. I would suggest speaking to a local welding consumable supplier who should be able to advise and even offer some samples.

    I hope that this helps.

    Cheers
