Hey all. One of our major clients (the ones you have to say yes to everything for) needs something we don’t do usually.

In those 8 rectangular slots they want to illuminate a perspex sheet with their logo in each one. They’ve basically said they don’t want to spend much and want the cheapest possible solution (funny that), so they are not keen on wiring the lights (even though I personally think it is the only and best option).

The deepness I have from the perspex sheet to the rear wall is about 15cm to work with.

The questions I need a little help in the right direction is:

What is the best way of going about this?

What kind of lighting should I go with? LED or tubes?

Is there an alternative power source instead of using a power cord that will last for a few weeks and changed when it konks out?

Any good ideas of standing the perspex sheet without having a shadow from the light?

Thanks and any comments would be appreciated

Looks a very expensive office to me!

Yes, edge lit LED looks great as you know… but it all costs money.

So I’m guessing it’s better to get a trade supplier to construct these for us and charge our clients for installing them and putting them together.

How is the power sourced for LED’s? From a battery?

Call me a grouch if you wish – but if it’s not something you normally do and they’re wanting it as cheap as possible – why bother 😕

Yeah I know, the only solution is to offer the right solution as we have all learn’t doing things cheaply the client still expects the highest quality and will complain in a few months time.

    Thanks for that Michael

It’s good to see Jason paying attention at all of these trade shows while I am stuck in the office printing.
