    Hi folks!

I have recently job, hanging banner with self tension system.
Banner size: 1,7m(W) x 2,4m(H). The place are windy.
Should I put one layer behind the banner, something like iron sheet, aluminum composite..etc…?
Be cos I worry the banner can’t last at a windy place.

    Looking forward your suggestion!

Sorry, my English not very good.

If the banner is completely exposed and will be subjected to constant wind.
I would suggest using a MESH banner instead. the mesh will allow the wind to pass straight through the banner face, resulting in much less strain on the the banner as a result of the windload.
additionally you should consider Bungee elastic rope to fix with. what this will do is allow the banner to "move" with "any" wind force. When rigid fixings are used on an exposed banner, the banner tries to move as the wind blows. but due to the rigid fixing, the wind progressively rips the eyelet fixings from the banner. when bungee fiings are used the banner simply moves back and forward due to the elastic fixings.

    hope this helps…

    Many thanks, Rob

Good to know your suggest. The client was ask for 3M hi-flex, but I will
ask them to change to Mesh banner.

BTW, if I want to register to be UKSB member (Gold, silver..etc..), how to pay the fee? and what is the payment method?

    Thanks!
