Try Artsystems. You’re only after error codes.

Are they saying that they don’t offer after sales service once the warranty has expired?

If that’s true it’s not very confidence inspiring, and would be an excellent reason never to buy a Canon printer.

    hi

well, the printer was an ex demo so reality is i did not buy it as a brand new printer. My supplier is telling me that if you buy brand new Canon will be all over me like a cheap suit with support so to keep me in the loop of buying canon..

i cant even find a self employed service engineer as apparently on canon employees can go on the courses to learn how to repair their printers, you cant go on a canon course if you are joe bloggs printer repairs so i am told..

needless to say i wont be buying canon as my next printer, even though it will be a brand new one

    thanks

a bit of goooooogaling came up with this

    quote :

    We find the answer.
Error Code E02D02 = Clean de coding tape behind the rubber belt.
Error Code E02E05 = Problem with de ink cartridge door.

This machine cannot solve a second problem without solving the first.
After cleaning the polyester tape, you must take off the electrical
connector, turn on the on/off button is not enough.
Then the printer ask you to remove the empty cartridge and open the
    door, canceling the E02E05 error.

    Merci à tous.

may help also this came up some time ago

    hi

i have tried soapy water still getting same error.. i am totally out of options now.

So unless i can find an engineer that can come out i’m stuffed. I have searched google high and low but can only find engineers for office printers and copiers.

Spoke to canon, absolutely no joy, i cant even join a warranty scheme..

    anyone any ideas?

Hi, I have the same problem – error code E02D02 on the Canon W8200pg.

Can anyone tell me what the coding tape looks like and where it is so I can give it a clean?

    Many thanks

    Sean
