  • My first wrap – not what I expected!

Well, here it is, good / bad, like it / love it or hate I thought I’d like to share it with my esteemed peers.
I was asked to wrap the pictured window frames and door in black carbon with a red pinstriping an a snap on logo, this is how it turned out.

Well done for lending yourself to something different 🙂 Not everyone would have took it but these are the kind of jobs you sometimes end up with a little niche market. We don’t some Ford showrooms last year that were changing from the blue, It’s a bugger of a job with handles and alarm sensors etc but compared to replacing the units or painters coming in we can charge good money and still be the better option.

    Hi David,
Yea it was quite interesting and certainly a different aspect of the wrapping business but nonetheless I enjoyed it and it’s added to the experience bank 😀

    Well done Allan

Believe it or not, this is common mate. We have done a good few window frame jobs over the years.
most solid colour change because the customer wants a particular colour/finish. but we have also printed window frames.
one being a wood finish to match a kitchen worktop i think. over fuss customers for the window company but still pays the bills for us lot! :lol1: that said, home interior customisation of furniture, windows, fridges and so on is big business these days.

well done and thanks for taking the time to post your work mate.

    Thank Rob,
To be honest, if I hadn’t done that course with you I’d never have even considered tackling something like this so it had opened new doors in many directions which makes me feel quite privileged in many ways. So thanks for that and hopefully this year I can do some more of the courses

    Hi Allan,

You’ve done a great job, Could I please ask what wrap vinyl you used?

    Thanks

Hi Mohammad, it’s KPMF carbon effect Air lease. Not bad to work with, some of the really tight seams were akward but that’s probably inexperience on my part.

The original for above the door looked like this, it was to mimic the glass effect but in the end the customer became obsessed with the carbon effect.
