Time flies, my machine now 8 years old and never a problem. Just started grunting and groaning (the machine not me) and in need of lubrication.

Anyone know what to avoid and what to grease on these machines? Found a manual but just operational notes

Only tip I can offer is if you take any covers off keep it connected to the mains (not on) so it is earthed. They have EEPROMS which can be temprimental from any static shocks, also run it from an anti surge if you don’t already.

I would give it a good blow out with canned air and use a light sewing machine oil or such on any phosphur bronze bearings and maybe some vaseline on any gears. Cleaning off any crap first.
Any roller bearing I would remove and put some WD40 on wiping of the excess after.

Sorry I can’t be more help than that.

Cheers Tim, I have noticed it makes a noise when the cutting head goes to the left, guess its lube the track it sits on first.
Strange I cannot find and info regarding this

Same as the Gerber as you will know Chris.

I’ve never found anything other than an OP manual either.

Could possibly be the bearings that carry it on the rail, a wipe and silicon spray on the rail is sometimes best, too much of any thicker kind of lube I feel can cause more problems attracting grime etc.
