    Hi all

I hope this isn’t going over old ground much but I have had the Junior 24 for a couple of years now. It was never really fantastic but it has got really bad lately.

If I’m cutting a sheet of stickers, they always get worse towards the middle of the (610mm) sheet. Circular letters such as o, b, d etc are regularly mishapen and i, l etc rarely have perfect angular corners. When I’m doing van graphics or anything on a largish scale, the start and finish point of the cuts don’t meet up and can be anything from a few mm to a 1/4 of and inch out laterally.

I would try a new blade but to me it doesn’t seem like a problem that a worn blade would cause.

As I say, I have had it for 2 years and it hasn’t exactly been over used but I was warned at the time of sale that it is a ‘cheap’ plotter.

Honest opinions please folks, is it time to change? I need to be able to cut small scale letters perfectly every time and I’m tired of spending too long on vans beause I’m having to finish cuts with my scalpel or setting shadows on individually due to inconsistencies in the cut length of text and shadow.

    Many thanks
    Kenny

Have you checked the cutting strip? or tried a new blade holder?

It’s had a new blade holder not so long ago. Didn’t think a cutting strip would affect it that way but I’ll try that now.

    Thanks for that 😀
