We have just aquired a secondhand Misomex PAC 3SV flatbed cutter and would love to be able to send cut instructions to it directly from Freehand 8 for Mac – some engineers recon it can only use a PC – but one engineer recons he saw one working from a Mac some time ago – but cannot remember how it was done or which sotware was used – does any one know if this is true and which software is needed ( apparently the table needs HPGL language to run)

You could try speaking to them direct. We had a plotter off them and they wrote software for us and even changed the drivers to our exact specifications. The only contact details I have are: Exact Technologies, Brackmills Ind Estate, Northampton.

Incidently, we ran the plotter from PC but we used their front end software which imported AI files from coreldraw.

Probably you will need to create an .ai from freehand and use a rip.

check if flexi can do it.
